| Having operated all sorts of machines throughout my life, it has made me quite handy with most equipment. However it has been my grader operating skills that seems to impress people the most. Over the years I have contracted out my operating services, but lately I find myself working a payroll job for a union company. |
| I think I've excelled at this grader work because of my aptitude for geometry. It also helps to know the calculation for quantities and slopes, which makes it possible to place accurate amounts of gravel in the right spot, . This allows me to be further ahead when it comes time to contour the finished surface to the precise tolerances required. |

Other services that I offer as a subcontractor include, house renovations, construction site supervisor, and construction contract estimator, mainly dealing with earthworks and underground utilities. One useful skill involves entering survey data and proposed site grades into personally designed spreadsheet. The spreadsheet would then calculate the cut and fill quantities and produces 3D topographic maps which illustrate the various contours. |
