The hinged ladder makes it easy to climb out of the water onto
the dock and it stabilizes the dock from moving sideways.
Even with strong currents and big waves the dock remains
in position quietly bobbing up and down in a predictable
motion. If the dock is removed, the ladder is released
and falls to the bottom. In the spring the ladder section
is retrieved with a pole and hook allowing the dock to be
pinned in exactly the same position as it was before. To
reposition the dock is relatively easy too, simply lift
the weights off the bottom, move the dock into position,
and drop the weights back down. |
